County fair, always fun. This year our emphasis was the senior awards. Enjoyed the concessions and especially the 4-H buildings and vendors stalls. We arrived before the fairway opened to focus on the other things available. It's also easier to get about before the fairway crowd arrives.
We come to the Porter Fair every year. My kids come here every year. We did the 1-5 wristbands for $15 . I wish they would have had pork/chicken sticks. That's one of the main reasons I come to the fair. Drinks and refills were kind of pricey as well
It's fair time! Take a tour through the commercial buildings for the free stuff. Tour the midway for the food. All vendors were friendly. We had two very small children. The person operating the dinosaur egg hunt was very nice and very kid friendly.
This a classic old fashioned county fair, from farm animals, horses, 4H Exhibits, all kinds of food ( visit Job's Daughters for fresh picked sweet corn, hot dogs, and a soda) corn dogs, elephant ears and dozens more from full meals to snacks. Local 4H groups sell real farm treats- commercial exhibits have 3 buildings of stuff ( and clean modern restrooms) as well as farm equipment, antique farm equipment; plus a number of grandstand shows with Nationally known performers and too much more to list here. Smaller fair then Laporte but just as fun.
The fair has turned into something you almost have to plan a couple weeks in advance to even attend now a days they increased prices to just get in. The food is always over priced but now it's like a competition. The carnival workers are just as bad 30$ for 6 darts to pop balloons
Went to the bus derby definitely worth the money had a blast very organized not enough seating but will be definitely go next year had plenty of stuff to do had a blast spent way to much money but it was totally worth it
Our family loved it! Great rides, food, animals, prizes, and games. There was one, sort of nauseating smell, but besides that smell, would definitely go again.
